FAQs Do you favo(u)r British or American English? These two versions of English differ primarily in two ways: Different organizations follow different editing styles, depending on the type of document being edited (technical, editorial, academic, etc.). In a medium edit, the editor also takes the liberty of changing certain sentence structures or phrases to add to the clarity and readability of the document; these changes are often tracked or noted so that the client can take the final call. A heavy edit involves extensive changes and, in some cases, rewriting of the document; it may also include fact-checking of the content. The time spent (and therefore the cost) increases depending on the degree of editing required Do you have your own house-style that you would like us to use? Many of our clients have existent in-house styles that they like us to follow.
